Have you earned your Reward Points?

• What are Reward Points?
  Reward Points are points that our youth earn through their active participation in Shabbat School, and with the congregation.
   

• How are these points earned?
  Each time a student completes a lesson or activity that has been presented by their teachers in Shabbat School, corresponding Reward Points are added to the student‘s Award Sheet.
   

• What can a student do with Reward Points?
  Reward Points can be used to pay for things in our Yeshiva Shopping Mall. The Yeshiva Shopping Mall consists of different websites that the student can shop from. In the course of their lessons the student view the website, and plan which item they would like to earn. The website addresses can be picked up from the teachers. If the student has accumulated enough points to order the item from the Yeshiva Shopping Mall, the order is turned over to a Shabbat School Teacher who then places the order.
   

• When can the Reward Points be traded in?
  The Reward Points are traded in on the first Shabbat of each month.
   

• Why does the Shabbat School offer Reward Points?
  Reward Points are given as encouragement to keep learning the things of God, and as congratulations for a job well done.
   
  This is currently how the Reward Points are given:
   

• 5 Reward Points
  Coming to Shabbat School on time.
  Bringing your bible.
  Behaving in a quiet and orderly manner, and having a good attitude towards your lessons and activities.
   

• 10 Reward Points
  Being able to recite your memory verse, and explain it.
  Being able to recite each of the Ten Commandments in Hebrew and English, and being prepared to explain each in English.
  Special Projects like making a plastic shofar for Rosh Hashanah, using the Contemplative Prayer Calendar during the Ten days of Awe, etc.
   

• 15 Reward Points
  Special Praise and Dance Presentations
   

• 20 Reward Points
  Participation in Camp Joshua
  Participation in the Passover Seder
  Participation in the Sukkoth
  Special Praise and Dance presentations
   

• An item with a value of $10.00 can be ordered if the student has 100 to 149 Reward Points.
   

• An item with a value of $15.00 can be ordered if the student has 150 to 199 Reward Points.
   

• An item with a value of $20.00 can be ordered if the student has 200 points up. This is the highest amount that an item can cost. A student can only order one item per month.
