Rabbi Michael Weiner With Our Shomair Yisrael Children!
We are now in the planning stages for the 2008 Camp Joshua, our summer send off for the youth. We are in need of all categories of volunteers. Adult males and female members of Shomair Yisrael of all ages are urged to volunteer. If you can't stay and work for the whole yeshiva, maybe you can give an hour or a day to a particular area. Last year's send off was really great. Let's labor together to make this year even better! We need teachers and teacher's aides; people to set up and take down learning and craft areas while the children are doing other things; recreational coaches; meal preparers.

Herzl Ein Eli
Shomair Yisrael Congregation welcomes Mr.
Herzl Ein Eli, our new Hebrew teacher. He was born and
raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. Herzl will be teaching
Hebrew language and Torah studies to the junior
congregation each Shabbat Morning.
Herzl is also teaching the Hebrew
language each Tuesday evening starting at 6:00 PM at the
Best Western on Cedar Lane, Knoxville. Everyone is
invited to come.
During Yom Kippur, the junior congregation had fun learning John 3:16. Many of us can say it from memory. The rest of us are still working on it.
The class was very happy to learn that our names are in the Book of Life, because we love Yeshua, and that He died for our sins.
On Kol Nidre, we also studied Zechariah 14:1-21, and talked about the reasons why we celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. Then we built our own miniature succahs.
Soon we will tell all about our wonderful time at the Feast of Tabernacles. So please keep checking the website.
